Description

This worksheet is designed to guide clients and therapist in developing a graded exposure plan for the treatment of avoidance related anxiety.

Graded exposure involves a step-by-step approach where clients face their anxiety in a considered and controlled manner, starting with the least anxiety-provoking situation and gradually working up to the most anxiety producing situation.

This can be used for in-vivo or imaginal exposure. It is important that graded exposure is completed in conjunction with appropriate coping skills and support.

Fill in the ladder with steps to face your fear. At the bottom of the ladder include things that have a low fear rating, increasing with each step. Each step should only have a slight increase in fear rating.
